How do I register my team?
First you will need to have every player register as a player in through the APPA System. Then the team captain will need to create a team profile through the same system and then add the ID# issued to every player to create a team roster. Entrance fee will also need to be paid through the APPA in order to finalize registration. Teams are NOT guaranteed entrance if payment is not submitted in time or spots fill up.
Can I register the day of?
All entrance fees must be paid by that events registration deadlines (see entrance fee page for these dates). Your team is not considered registered until the entrance fee is PAID. First Deadlines are at least 10 days prior to each event. You may pay the entrance fee through the APPA System once you have created a team profile.
Is entrance for one event or for all 5 events?
Entrance in the 3 man & 5 man series is per event, per team.
Entrance in the 7 Man & NEXL divisions is for the season and covers 4 events and a fifth event for the teams who qualify.
Do I HAVE to have an NEPL ID?
YES. Any player that plans to play in ANY event needs to have an NEPL ID card. We use ID Cards to track players through their career so we can prevent players with too much experience from playing in divisions lower than they should be. We also use ID cards at each event to prevent non-rostered players from playing. ALL Players need an ID card to play in any of the series - The NEPL , the NEPL Jr and the NEXL. You may sign up for your ID card here through the APPA System. Please follow the instructions provided on the site to register as both a player - and as a team (Team captain should handle TEAM registration) Temporary ID's can be issued for each event but will cost $20 each per event. Players who have an ID card for an NEPL team may play in NEXL events (Xball / PSP 5 Man) or in NEPL Jr events without getting a new card - but ALL Players on these teams will need to have at least 1 ID card. (so they can either have one for their regular team or get one for their event team) All players will need to upload a photo to complete ID card registration (see APPA Site) ID Cards are good for certain discounts through the NEPL and will replace a waiver at any Boston Paintball facility.
How long does the event last, When should we arrive.... etc.?
An event email will be sent to all registered teams at least the day before your event - and that email will contain all important event details. Due to things such as daylight savings and the number of teams playing, some details may change from event to event - so always look for an email the day before you are registered to play. If it is possible to send information sooner, it will be.
What kind of paint do we use, can we bring our own, how/when/where can we pay for it?
All NEPL events are Tournament Paint ONLY. You CANNOT bring your own paint. You may pay for paint during the online registration process, or you may pay for it WITH CASH ONLY the day of the event, on site. Pre-paid pricing on event paint starts at $35 a case and will vary by brand / grade. Day of event paint pricing will start at $40 a case.
Is my gun legal, can i have a clear hopper, how long are games, what is bounce?
All of these answers are in the Rule Book. Every player should read the rule book as well prior to playing in any event. This will answer any questions regarding game structure, equipment, clothing etc
Can we film, photo, watch games out ON the fields?
The only people allowed to film / take photos out on the fields are the Official NEPL Event Media staff. Spectators will only be allowed on the outside of the nets where goggles are not necessary (this includes your team staff). Please keep in mind that spectators are not allowed to interfere with the game in any manner while it is in progress. Yelling, pointing or any other type of signaling may result in a penalty for your team.
