| First Two NEPL Events will be at Maynard Paintball Club |
| The first 2 events will be held at Boston Paintball's Outdoor Field in Maynard. We will be adding fields - and when we are done will have 2 turfed XBall fields and 3 turfed 7 man fields.
With the change in venue - come a few other changes. Gates will not open until 7 am and first game will start at 9am. We will have a police detail on site to control traffic and are letting you know now that we do not expect to have teams showing up before 7. This little change will now allow for teams to drive directly to the event instead of having to stay overnight somewhere - eliminating a sometimes significant cost of tournament paintball.
We are taking a whole new approach to the league this year, more of a grass roots approach, limiting the number of teams - with the old adage that less is more. We want to provide a top quality - affordable - competitive local event - something that both teams, and sponsors will be proud to be associated with. |
FIELDS of Dreams.........
You've been waiting........ The NEPL Delivers |
|
So it's been said that 2008 is "The Year of A Million Dreams". While we may not be able to make a million dreams come true - we think we can fill at least one! The NEPL will have TURFED FIELDS !!!!! With over 130,000 square feet on order, we are shooting for an April delivery - but with the unpredictable nature of weather in New England- we don't want to make any promises to have it down in time for Event 1 and not be able to deliver - however if mother nature cooperates - we're sure gonna try! This is a HUGE undertaking but it is one that we feel is necessary in our ongoing quest to make The NEPL one of the
best leagues in the country. The addition of turf in the 2008 season will truly solidify The NEPL as being New England's Premiere Paintball League.

The NEPL will be both setting up the layouts for each event and running the Official Event Practices this season. Ofiicial Event Practices will be competitively priced and we will arrange schedules for teams who sign up for these practices (similar to the Boston
Indoor Rotations). The NEPL Air Trailer will also be on site for each of these practices. Get up close and personal with all of the actual event layouts before the event! |
| Hurricanes return to Ref along with NEX / NXL / NPPL Pro Refs |
One of the most essential ingredients in the success of any tournament - and an area we are passionate about. The NEPL will provide some, if not the - best reffing in tournament ball.
The Hurricanes are returning, D1 team NEX has signed on, and Little Tony (from NY) and his NXL / NPPL Crew will be reffing this year - those are the crews that will make up the 7 man reffing. On the 5 man fields we will have MXL team Somerville Crisis (from out Jr series) along with some of the returning NPPL Pro Refs from last season. The NEPL guarantees a 2:1 ratio on every field at every event - and stand by that - if you do not see the right number of refs on your field at the start of your game - do not start that game. Penalty Flags will now be thrown when a penalty is being called.
